We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for monetary consideration. We may, however, share your personal information with the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
4.1 Payment Channels and Financial Institutions
We share your personal information with Payment Channels—including Antom, PayPal, and Alipay—and their affiliated financial institutions, card associations, and payment networks as necessary to process your payments, manage your Account Balance, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements. The processing of your personal information by such Payment Channels is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service.
4.2 Domain Name Registries and Data Escrow Providers
As an ICANN-accredited registrar, we are required to share certain domain registration data with the relevant domain name registries (Registry Operators) and ICANN-designated data escrow providers. This sharing occurs whether or not you elect to use WHOIS privacy services, as it is mandated by our contractual obligations under the ICANN RAA and applicable registry agreements. While we seek to ensure that registries and data escrow providers handle your information in accordance with applicable requirements, we cannot guarantee their compliance.
4.3 WHOIS Disclosure
The WHOIS system is a publicly accessible database of domain name registrations. RayName will not publish your personal information in WHOIS unless you give us explicit permission to do so, or we are required to do so by the policies of a given registry (for example, .us, .fans, .nyc, and .am registries). Where registry policies require public disclosure of your data, we will make this clear at the point of purchase.
Where you utilize our WHOIS Privacy service, or where your data is otherwise redacted in WHOIS, RayName provides an anonymity-preserving web-based contact form to allow third parties to contact you for legitimate purposes related to your domain registration. We will take reasonable measures to prevent abuse of this form but cannot guarantee that you will not receive undesired communications through it.
4.4 Service Providers and Contractors
We may share your personal information with trusted third-party service providers and contractors who assist us in operating our Platform, conducting our business, or providing our Services, including:

l Cloud hosting and data storage providers;
l Email and communication service providers.
We require such service providers to process your personal information only in accordance with our instructions, to implement appropriate security measures, and to comply with applicable data protection laws.
4.5 Law Enforcement and Regulatory Authorities
We may disclose your personal information to law enforcement agencies, governmental authorities, regulatory bodies (including ICANN), courts, and other third parties as required by applicable law, legal process, or regulatory requirement. We may also disclose personal information where necessary to protect the safety of any individual, to protect our rights or property, or to respond to legitimate requests from third parties with a legal right to access such information.
4.6 Affiliates and Business Transfers
We may share your personal information with our corporate affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of the transaction.

Where we collect information from you in connection with a co-branded offer or promotion with one of our trusted partners, we will indicate which partner's privacy policy applies at the point of data collection.
5. Where Your Data Is Stored and International Data Transfers
Personal data collected by RayName is stored in a variety of locations: on servers operated by RayName, on servers operated by our trusted partners and service providers. Additionally, our regulator, ICANN, requires that certain domain registration data be stored on secure servers of designated data escrow providers.
Because the servers and partners we utilize may be located in different countries, your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions other than the country in which you reside. The data protection laws in such jurisdictions may differ from, and may not be as protective as, the laws of your home country. By using our Platform and Services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be subject to cross-border transfers of this nature.
Where required by applicable data protection laws, we will implement appropriate safeguards to govern such international data transfers, such as entering into standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection regulations, and will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
6. How Do We Store and Protect Your Personal Information?
6.1 Data Storage
Personal information collected by RayName is stored on servers operated by RayName and on servers operated by our trusted service providers and partners. Additionally, ICANN requires that certain domain registration data be stored on secure servers maintained by ICANN-designated data escrow providers.
6.2 Data Security
RayName implements industry-standard physical, electronic, and managerial security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
l Encryption of personal information during transmission and at rest;
l Regular security assessments and updates to address known vulnerabilities;
l Access controls limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel who have a legitimate business need;
l Confidentiality obligations imposed on all personnel with access to personal information;
l Security monitoring and incident response procedures.
We require our service providers and partners to implement comparable security measures to protect your personal information.
6.3 Security Disclaimer
Notwithstanding our reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. You acknowledge and accept that any personal information you disclose to us is transmitted and stored at your own risk.
If you become aware of or have reason to believe that there has been any unauthorized access to or use of your personal information in connection with the Platform or our Services, please contact us immediately at service@rayname.com.
7. How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Information?
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements. The criteria we use to determine appropriate retention periods include:
l Contractual requirements: We retain data necessary to perform our contracts with you and to provide the Services for the duration of your account and any applicable post-termination period;
l ICANN requirements: Under the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement and related policies, we are required to retain certain domain registration records for a period of at least two (2) years following the deletion or transfer of the relevant domain name;
l Payment Channel requirements: Under our agreements with Payment Channels (including Antom), we may be required to retain transaction records and related data for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of each transaction;
l Legal and regulatory obligations: We retain data as required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering, tax, and financial record-keeping obligations;
l Legal claims: We may retain data for as long as necessary to establish, exercise, or defend against potential legal claims;
l Type, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information processed.
When personal information is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, we will securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and regulatory retention requirements.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
8.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion
To view or update your personal information, you may log in to your RayName account and access the "Account Settings" section. For domain contact information, you may modify your domain contacts through the Domain Management interface.

8.5 Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights under applicable law. Exercising your rights will not result in denial of Services, different pricing, or a different quality of service, except to the extent that the exercise of such rights affects our ability to provide the Services to you (for example, where you request deletion of data necessary to maintain your domain registration).
9. Third-Party Services and Sites
The Platform and our communications may contain links to third-party websites and services. RayName is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each website and service that you visit before providing any personal information.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under the age of 18 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
11. Do Not Track
"Do Not Track" is a privacy preference that your browser may transmit to websites, requesting that you not be "tracked." Due to the lack of an industry consensus on how to interpret and respond to "Do Not Track" signals, RayName does not currently alter its data collection and processing practices in response to such signals.
12. Web Hosting Services
RayName offers web hosting services, including a hosted site builder and shared hosting. Any data that you upload, publish, or otherwise input into our web hosting services may become publicly viewable, and you are solely responsible for the data you upload. Any amendment will become effective immediately upon posting of the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform, unless otherwise stated. We will notify you of material changes through a combination of Platform announcements, email notifications, or other reasonable means.
We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of our current privacy practices. Your continued use of the Platform and our Services after the effective date of any amended Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy.
14. Language and Priority
This Privacy Policy is drafted in the English language. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the English version of this Privacy Policy and any translation thereof, the English version shall prevail.
